The McNair 5K event is an annual event sponsored by the Ron McNair Committee, Lake City, SC. The mission is to promote health and physical fitness for all ages. The format and schedule includes a half mile Kids run for the kids 12 and under, a 1 mile fun walk, and the 5K run (main event). Trophies and awards will be given to winners in the 5K Event and the Kids run. The race course makes use of the city streets of Lake City.
In addition to the races, a free health fair is also hosted with health screenings, vaccinations, and other health related information/kits for distribution.

Shirts can be picked up on the day preceding the race (6:00 – 8:00 pm) and the morning of the race. No guarantee of sizes on “day of race” registrations.

People are welcome to listen to music while running

We share parking with the public library. No parking in identified reserved spaces.
