Artist Kimberly Washburn Motte will teach you how to create detailed patterns on textiles dyed with indigo. Participants will learn a traditional Japanese resist paste process called "Katazome", which allows detailed graphic patterns to be created and repeated on indigo-dyed cloth. Design and dye a cotton kitchen towel and leave with detailed instructions for continued exploration.
