Moore Farms Botanical Garden (MFBG) is young, but already recognized as a horticultural jewel of the Southeast. Opened in 2002, the garden is now over 900 acres, including a 65 acre gardened core dedicated to the horticultural possibilities of the south. Education and research, agriculture and natural land management round out the benefits provided the visiting public. MFBG is wildly beautiful, creative and soulful. We seek to inspire, inform and delight. Discover plants, and our interaction with them.
The garden is a collection of exuberant plant displays, romantic meadows and vistas of grey-green pines. A visit here is a special experience, and we recommend a guided tour. Groups of 8 or more can schedule tours with our professional staff to get an in-depth look at what we do. Come to our free garden days for a self-guided exploration of the grounds and to celebrate the beauty of each season.
The educational opportunities at MFBG are endless. Adult classes offer a way to learn more about various topics while enjoying the camaraderieof like-minded enthusiasts. These classes cover everything from horticultural to wellness; pruning to wreath making and everything in between! Youth programming includes field trips, family programs, day camps and tours, all focused on hands-on learning.
We have an event for everyone! People flock to the garden for Bulbapalooza, Eggstravaganza, Moore Farms Wine Stroll, May Days, Films at the Farm, MFBG Beer Fest, Sarracenia, Bootanical Garden, and Dog Daze. Mark your calendar and take advantage of these unique opportunities AND visit the area’s most beautiful garden. Proceeds from these events are donated to local non-profits.
