Located on Lynches River in the Pee Dee region, this popular day use park features a river swamp with towering cypress trees and sand hills offering a wide variety of vegetation. Popular activities include river fishing, canoeing, nature trails, and picnicking. Less than half-an-hour away from Lake City, an easy drive down Highway 52 towards Florence, South Carolina.
Be sure to visit the Lynches River Environmental Discovery Center, a hands-on nature center which features live animals common to South Carolina. Then hit the challenging tree top canopy walk enjoyed by children, parents and grandparents. As a County Park, they also offer the Junior Ranger program, environmental education programming, public programs and events that are all held onsite.
Overnight accommodations include cabin rentals, RV and tent camping with access to restrooms and showers. Additional amenities include the Splash Pad, archery range, handicap-accessible canoe/kayak launch, a river boardwalk and historical Stagecoach trail.
